About Kristin Phalen

Kristin grew up riding and has always had a deep love for horses. The typical “horse-crazy girl” every corner of her room was filled with Breyers and every second that wasn’t spent at the barn riding was spent drawing doodles of horses on her homework or playing horses.

Kristin grew up riding English and showed for many years until she switched to Dressage in college. After college she went back to school and got licensed as a sports therapist for people then specialized in working with horses. She owned her own business as an Equine Sports Therapist for over a decade and had the privilege of helping numerous Grand Prix and Olympic level horses perform at their best.

Kristin and Jeff met at a barn in Woodside, CA in 2011 where they both were working. Kristin knew Jeff was the one for her after he helped her miniature pony, Ginger, who had foundered and was in tremendous pain, walk comfortably and pain free. Seeing how much the horses loved Jeff made it easy for her to love him too (not to mention all the other great things about him)!

Kristin and Jeff are now married with kids and while Jeff is off shoeing horses, Kristin manages Sound. She is passionate about giving back to horses in need, so a portion of every bottle sold goes to non-profit horse rescues across the country. Helping horses isn’t just a business, it’s her passion.
